I've been shopping at Thyme & Season since 2001. With Celiac I had few options to find gluten free products and this store was a godsend. Initially looking for gluten free, I can find almost all my grocery needs. Over the years the produce section has developed and rivals Whole Foods with the number of fresh options. We much prefer the shopping experience at Thyme & Season to that at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.

Since moving to Hamden, I quite enjoy making T&S part of my weekly grocery shopping routine. I love their soups for lunch, and the fun snacks I find there. Recently I was craving chocolate popcorn and found some there - the brand was local “Kennedy’s Kitchen” and it was sooo good. I devoured it! The herbs and produce are much fresher than regular grocery stores. I love getting seasonal fruit from local orchards, it’s always SO GOOD. Other staples I enjoy picking up: wave hill breads, painterland sister yogurts, blinski’s chicken sausage, the organic spud puppies (tater tots) organic instant oatmeal, and hU chocolate. They’ve also got a range of a2 dairy products that I’ll definitely be trying. They have a variety of supplements with staff to help guide you and I’ve also found some wonderful gifts or stocking stuffers. The membership gives you coupons when you spend over a certain amount which is not hard to do! The register staff are always very kind and conversational. I really enjoy it here!

While passing through town for a week, I found myself frequenting this place quite often. It's undoubtedly one of the best small health food stores I've had the pleasure of visiting. The staff is not only friendly but also consistently offered assistance in finding anything I needed. Their product selection is impressive, and they make a conscious effort to feature a substantial number of local brands. Although the prepared food section is modest in size, they offer a commendable variety, particularly from a local establishment called Sanctuary Kitchen. I must mention their dumplings, which are absolutely fantastic. The store boasts a sizable supplement aisle, and it's quite evident that it enjoys a steady stream of customers, a testament to its popularity. It's a bustling place, but the crowd is manageable and doesn't hinder your shopping experience.

This is just the best health store in CT! Great selection of products, but I am most appreciative of Linda, Certified Nutrition Counselor... I go to her with a physical problem, she listens and recommends a supplement or vitamin or product... and explains what it is, how to use it, what to expect... so very knowledgeable and a genuinely nice person! She is not a substitute for medical care and will say so... but if I can find a natural, homeopathic product to alleviate symptoms before they escalate into a Dr visit, that's a good thing!

this place has some great soup! also a wide selection of hot foods and packaged sandwiches. the produce section is small yet has everything you might need for last minute groceries. can get a bit crowded sometimes but when 3 lanes are open the line moves fast.
